Play is not just for kids! Therapy can be client lead where we explore what is going on for you through more than words. Exploration can occur through games, art, stories, music, movement, or whatever way you play and feel connected to yourself.
Some therapies focus on top-down (thoughts and cognitions) processing to help heal trauma and symptoms. Somatic or body-based therapy focuses on the relationship between the mind and body concerning current functioning and healing trauma from the body and nervous system up.
Our identity is formed through our interactions with others. Exploring what was needed to do in order to stay in relationship and stay safe in early attachments will help with the understanding of current thoughts, feelings, communications, behaviours, and interpersonal exchanges.
Natascha is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) Supervisor. SPT honours both the therapeutic powers of play, the science that governs relationships, and how dysregulation is understood within the nervous system. It is this understanding that supports deep transformation and healing.
Natascha is a Somatic and Attachment focused (SAFE) EMDR trained practitioner. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.
Natascha created the Empowering Neurodiversity Model™ (The END Model™) by synthesizing her clinical and caregiver experience, knowledge, and training. The END Model™ believes in the beauty of looking at the world through a neurodiversity lens.
The earth sustains us. Connecting with the earth, the wind, the forest, the ocean can be grounding and therapeutic. Nature-based sessions may be available on a case by case basis.
